Installed SketchUp 2026 but can't open after logging in

Hi, I’ve been meaning to update my 2022 Version to the 2026 Version to use the Geo-location feature.

I chose ‘Run as Administrator’ when installing the file. I also rebooted my device and made sure my graphics card was up to date. After installing, I logged in to my Trimble Account, then I get stuck on this window (see attached photo).

I still didn’t uninstall the 2022 version as it works perfectly. The 2026 version just shows blank. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine is doing the same. I do know my account says on hold to verify the tax exemption. But besides that it looks like your screen.

This is normally either or both :

You have something blocking access (vpn/firewall/adblocker etc)

and/or the webcache folder needs deleting - the fact this is a new install suggest the former.

Steps to Delete SketchUp Web Cache

  • Windows:

    1. Close SketchUp.

    2. Open File Explorer and navigate to %AppData%/SketchUp/SketchUp 20XX (replace “20XX” with your specific version, e.g., 2021, 2022).

    3. Locate the Webcache folder and delete it.

    4. Restart SketchUp.

  • Mac:

    1. Quit all SketchUp instances.

    2. Open Finder, click the “Go” menu, and navigate to the User Library.

    3. Find and delete the Web Cache folder.

While it is rare with a fresh install, sometimes you will need to delete a login file - login_session.dat

You need to sign out and close SketchUp first.

Delete the file from this location.

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp VERSION

Hi, I did all the steps you listed. However, it still shows the same window. I also did what KyleB replied. It hasn’t changed.

Hi, I did what you instructed, as well as what Elmtec-Adam replied. It still shows the same window after logging in.
