Use SketchUp since 4 or 5 years do all my design on it. And loving it.
Using scan to design and struggling with it. Some. What about these out of squareness of the walls? Am I doing something wrong?

I am a Ca. licensed architect my office is located in San Francisco. I use SketchUp for design and production. I have used SketchUp for 13 years, and I am an advanced user and have attended 3DBasecamp, if you haven’t, try it, it’s well worth the effort. I highly recommend it.
I am currently running SketchUp on windows desktop(s) (on MSI / HP / IBM machines.) I use SketchUp almost exclusively because the workflow is simply faster and easier than competitive software.

My name is Marco, I’m an Event manager. My main focus for starting to use SketchUp is to design events layout spaces, stages, backdrops etc. I’m here to learn from the pros.

Call me mediopícaro. I am a retired graphic arts teacher. I have used SketchUp extensively in the creation of architecture renderings for custom homes for local contractor’s clients. Since I retired I continue to use Sketchup as a hobby with my 3D printers. I now make 3D models of historic buildings in my Central Valley California town.

Do not use all caps when typing. That is considered yelling.
That’s not a bug. It’s indicative of an overloaded model. It may also be related to where you are saving your model files.
SketchUp 2021 will not receive any updates at this point in time.
Presumably you are using a cr acked version of SketchUp?

I am a former instructor at a technical college teaching architecture, SketchUp, AutoCad, and Revit.
I have been using SketchUP way back when it was owned by @Last Software.
I love and hate the software for what it can do and for what it cannot.
I use it nearly everyday and would be lost without it.

Hello, my name is Alex Grillo. I am a retired Experimental Particle Physicist. I started using Google’s free version of SketchUp years ago to help document my work. I continuted using the very old app I had installed on my Mac computer until it no longer worked with an upgrade Mac OS. Now retired, I intend to use SketchUp Free for the Web to help with my documentation of gadgets I build for my house. After a few hours of use, I am able to remember enough SketchUp commands to make some simple drawings, but I still need to learn how to access many of the commands or drawing tools I used to use with my outdated version.
I enjoy making drawings to illustrate what I have created but also as an aide for own thinking about how best to design a solution for what I am trying to accomplish.
Here something I have not been able to learn how to do. Perhaps someone provide help or I will look for the appropriate posting area for this question. A drawing I just made shows dashed lines for edges of components that are hidden such as the backside edges of a structure that is hidden by the structure itself. I have not yet been able to find a way to hide these dashed lines from my displayed views. Any ideas?

Those are called Back Edges. K is the keyboard shortcut to toggle them on or off. You must have hit it at some point. Hit K again.

I am Jeff Kudrick. I am the owner of Outdoor Living Foundations. It is a new method of building structures using a lightweight cementitious composite. I have patents on the construction method and I am looking for developers to help me create Plug-ins and use existing functionality for my dealers to build kitchens and furniture with Live Components. I am usiung a MAC, but I may switch to PC for better functionality. I am using 2024, I guess online version. I am pretty basic in Sketchup and I need to learn more, being a business owner I don’t have a lot of time to learn in full classes. I have a drawing team that uses solidworks mainly. I would like help to develop this workflow.

The best option is to search the forum first for an answer, as just about everything has been answered many times, if you don’t find the answer then start a new thread, in the most appropriate category you can find, to ask a question rather than burying it in this welcome thread.
Sketchup on Mac and windows have the same tools, and almost all the plug-ins run on windows and Mac. What you need is to get a license to use the desktop version, you can’t install plug-ins on the web version.
I don’t think you need to develop a plugin from scratch, profile builder may be able to do what you want.

Hello , my name is Colm and I’m hoping to use sketchup on ipad to quickly draw floorplans when i visit homes for the purpose of energy audits.
I basically need to be able to draw a bunch of rectangles with specific dimensions and display those dimensions, my floorplans are very simple, room dimensions and location of doors/windows with number labels for doors/windows.
Any recommendations for tutorials that would point me in the right direction would be most appreciated.
