Very slow select tool

hi!
i have microsoft surface laptop i7 16gb 512mb,
and graphic card- intel(r) iris™ plus graphics 640
up until a few weeks ago everthing worked just fine- but now the select tool is very slow.
i’ve tried sketchup 2018 and downloaded 2017 make- and still the select tool runs very slowly.

can you guys help me? do i need to get a better graphic card? or what i got is ok?
