Once again you have supplied a model without giving access to it. You need to resolve that.
My guess is that you don’t understand what resetting the axes means. It has nothing to do with exploding anything.
You must right click on one of the coloured axes lines, this will give you a context menu, select Reset. The global axes will move to their correct position and you will see that your object is not aligned along the red axis.
thanks for your response
i know how to reset the axis like i mentioned before i have worked and had success with shape bender in the past the red axis is parallel with straight object i want to bend
Looking at Dave’s screenshot after he reset the axes shows something very different to what you show.
But until you can upload a working link it is all guesswork.
all my models show the red axis parallel with the straight object i want to bend using Shape Bender
not sure how or what Dave did showing the axis in the position it is in that’s the 64 thousand dollar question
I have tried every option i deleted the Shape Bender plugin and re installed I right clicked on the wall of the rectangle were it gives you the option to align axis right clicked on the red axis line were it gives the option to reset under Tools heading i clicked on the Axes which lets you place the Axes any where maybe i am missing something
The last time i used Shape Bender i was bending a set of stairs and i had no problem with it
Select the parts you are using for shape bender, copy them, open a new instance of sketchup, paste in place. Now tell us if the straight edge is aligned with the red axis in this version.
i ended up going to an earlier version of this model i cut a pasted what i wanted to bend to the earlier model
everything worked no problem
thanks for your help and suggestions have a good evening
