Snap Connector Tool

I purchased the extension Snap Connector Tool after demo and after each use I get a please purchase license pop-up. I have uninstalled the extension, closed out Sketchup, reopened Sketchup, navigated to Extension Warehouse/ my downloads and reinstalled the extension (numerous times) with the same results. I have contacted the developer and all he has to offer is the procedure above which is not working. I have had no luck contacting Sketchup so I thought someone could offer a different solution.

I don’t see any problems with your extension purchase. So long as you’re signing in with your plumber supply email address, that should work.

There is a different issue that could affect both your SketchUp license and your extension licenses. I’ll give you all of the steps to fix that other issue, and it may fix the extension license one as well (you can skip step 4 if your SketchUp license is apparently working):

We have seen a situation a few times, where for some reason Windows is not able to update the license files. Here are steps to solve the problem:

  1. In File Explorer, go to this folder:

C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2021

  1. Drag the files SketchUp.lic and EW.lic to your desktop. That will be a Move, neither file will still be in the original folder.

  2. Hold the Ctrl key, and drag the two files back into the original folder. That will show as being a Copy.

  3. In the SketchUp Manage License window, remove the license if it thinks there is one at the moment, then add the license values again. That should then activated the license ok.

For the EW.lic file, if you have installed any paid for extensions recently, and they give you trouble, remove the extension, and install it from Extension Warehouse again. That should fix any license error.

You can delete the files that are still on the desktop.

Estimado Señor, necesito ayuda para desarrollar una extensión, pago por el servicio. Si está a su alcance le agradezco contactarme. Rafael Calderón, +56 9 7705 2718, rafael.calderon.moros@gmail.com. Gracias

Thanks Colin but unfortunately nothing changed after completing the steps. A couple of things that might help with a solution is under my downloads it is still saying 0/3 under activations. Also a message popup stating not compatible with my operating system do I wish to proceed anyway,

@rafaelcalderon Please (don’t hijack other member’s topics,) … start your own topic and be more specific about what you want from a developer.

Post either in the Developers or Commercial Work categories (but not both).

so after many attempts to rectify Sketchup and the developer are unable to resolve the issue with licensing and issued a refund. Is anybody successfully using Snap Connector Tool? Does anybody know of a similar extension to be able to snap components together like this.

I’ve just upgraded to SU2023 from SU2022. Snap Connector is now asking me to purchase again. I’ve reinstalled it several times. Does anyone know of a fix? The developer has not responded to repeated messages. Thanks in advance for any help!

Paid extensions are tied to the email you use when signed in. I can’t find any extensions for the email address you use in the forum. Can you make sure you are signed in with the same email address you used in 2022?

I found Gmail and Yahoo email addresses for someone with your name, but neither of those have the Snap Connector Tool extension. I see about 40 free extensions under the Gmail address, which I’m pretty sure is your one.

Hi Colin,

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, I didn’t see your other replies.

My email address changed.

I have messaged you with the new email address.

I think I tried this before, but I uninstalled the plugin from SU 2023. Then I copied the Cadman folder and the “rb” file from SU 2022 plugins folder. Now I no longer am getting the pop-up asking me to purchase.
