The lag-time for item selection is 10+ seconds. Does anyone know of any recent Windows updates or any other issues that may be affecting the performance? Glenn

This happened to me about a month ago when I updated to the latest Sketchup version.
The solution I used was to tell my NVidia Control panel to use my high performance video card for the Sketchup application. (see screen shot)

I had a client with the same problem just starting today. I rolled back his graphics card driver and the problem went away.
