nVidia graphics have historically provided the best support for OpenGL. Get the best card you can but don’t get a Quadro card. You can search recent threads and see recommendations for the best nVidia cards.

I solved the problem like this. SketchUp fails when the built-in graphics card located on the computer is selected. right click on the program shortcut. Select Run with graphics processor. then select Run with high performance NVIDIA graphics processor.[original]

May I ask if SU 2017 on a MAC with intel graphics processor can suffer from this issue?

The Intel graphics drivers can be problematic on Mac but the Windows updates won’t affect anything.

never seen any reports for this on a mac… occasionally battery management settings have caused an overall slowness… Apple uses bespoke drivers as they know exact spec for their products… john
