Sketchup not recognising my subscription

When I sign into SketchUp it is only allowing me to use the free version, but my subscription is paid and valid until May 2026.

Your profile says you have a Go subscription. Is this about the Web edition or the Desktop edition?

This is about sketchup on IPad.

It has always worked before but is only allowing me to use the free plan as view only.

Are you signed in with the right email? Sometimes apple assigns a unique email when applying in order to avoid spam mail.

It’s the right email it even states that I have the App Store subscription for sketchup go in the ‘my account’ section, but won’t let me use it.

Is this still fallout from the Microsoft Azure issues earlier this week?

Have you contacted support to open a ticket? This should always be the first step.

I have last night, I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to get the app to recognise my subscription..?

not likely.

when people take subscriptions using their apple account, there is a chance they’re not immediately recognised : your apple account can be set as “hide my email” or something like that. if you choose to “login using apple” then it doesn’t use your actual email (hidden) but a proxy email. and because of that, if you try to login with your email (and not by picking apple as a login) trimble sees it as a second account. not the same.

these links talks about it.

Thanks for that, I didn’t hide my email address. I’ve had this subscription since 2022 with no problems.

Surely if it thought it was a different account the ‘about’ page wouldn’t say I have a subscription would it?

We know of two emails for you, one is hotmail the other is googlemail. The hotmail one only has a Free entitlement, the googlemail one has the Go subscription. Make sure you’re signing in with that one.

Hi Colin,

You’re amazing. Thank you.

Not sure how that email address was used as it’s not linked to my apple account, and it’s not an email address I use, but thank you.!!!
