The file you provided (loyola23.skp) does not contain any Sketchup related data! Do you have any sort of backup file that you would like me to take a look at?

Yes, I do, but when I try to recover from the backup, the same message “failed to open document” appears
You might as well up load that file. Occasionally I have been able to reconstruct a complete Sketchup file from the bits and pieces drawn from several corrupted files.

There is a big chunk of the middle of the file that is filled with zeros. You should look to see if there is a backup file, or any recent versions you have saved somewhere else.
i have already used the skb, and changed to skp. i also saved into another file and lower version because i thought its just a version thing.

hello everyone, I have the same problem… last night i saved my file, closed it and today it doesn’t even exist… i only found the skb file and it won’t open. but the weird thing is that even all the exported rendered photos with JPG format are also lost and nowhere to be found. could anyone help me with that please??@colin it’s urgent…please help

no, it was saved on the D disk on my pc, and then disappeared i only found the skb file i can’t find the skp file anywhere.
