These are all just mind-blowing! All of them – every image! This and the Sleepless Night thread is incredibly humbling.

I ummed and ahed about the k.

I tried to put these two into the same model but the squid wasn’t having it.

Thought I would pop this in here, its a method for helping control bezier curves. Similar to how I worked out the geometry for the roving bridge I posted earlier.
It might be over size, we’ll see, it may fail or disappear.

Very cool method! :sunglasses:

Was having a bit of a fiddle with Beziers and then took advantage of z-fighting to create an interesting surface render.

How did you take advantage of Z-fighting?
It’s not obvious to me…

The blue and red ‘pattern’ over the whole shape is z-fighting. It is two identical shapes flipped, you can see the gold bit goes the other way. Each has a different flat material, simple SU materials. So twilight is rendering what it sees, not choosing one or the other but creating a pattern.

Made a rough first draft of a wheel, clunky and slow but figured I would throw it in here anyway.
The tyre profile is way off and the cut outs in the alloys are not symmetrical, but it shows the idea I’m working toward.

Once again inspired by/stolen from another post.
I was going with the ‘One thing is not like the others theme’ when I was rudely interrupted.

This can happen when living on a boat (ferry, ship / vessel …)

I’ve never been an executive and as such have never been invited into the high priced world of executive toys… so I had to make my own.
First one and all I see is too much Star Trek.

During my first internship in and architecture firm, they had one of those in the conference room. and as an intern, unless the room was needed for a client meeting, I often worked there (simpler to unfold the “bedsheets” and see all the corrections I had to do.

I was playing with it all the time. after a few days, I arrived to find it taped (painter’s tape, the cheap yellow one) with a note "don’t you dare  "

hi mr, can you help me solving my skp model? i found your comment on a thread in 2018 where the model that the person you helped was having issue with her model found missing and she couldn’t zoom in. i am having the same problem right now. wish you could help me. TT

Create a new thread so that more people can see and respond to your request.
Attach your model to That thread. Either upload it directly using the upload icon at the top of the message box if it is less than 16mb or if larger upload it to Dropbox or similar and paste a link to it in the thread.
I don’t download large files due to limited internet.
