My Sketchup File is having an error, and says file integrity error, please help me, I've been working on this project for weeks

Have you tried renaming the .skb backup file and opening that? Have you tried opening it with SketchUp 2024? Since you have a current Pro subscription you can update to SketchUp 2024 at no additional charge.

Where have you been saving the file while working on it?

You didn’t happen to save a backup to your Trimble Connect storage, did you?

You could share the file with us and we might be able to do something with it.

Yes, I have saved it like many times now since I’ve been working in it for weeks, and I will submit this work tomorrow and now it’s gone. I didn’t know that I could saved it to Trimble but thanks for letting me know, next time I’ll saved it every ■■■■ minutes. I’ll share the file right now in a link, hoping you could fix it.

I did ask if you’d saved it. I asked WHERE you saved it.

Ohhh, my bad, I’ve saved it in my internal storage in my Laptop, in Users D;

OK. And did you try opening the .skb backup file? It should be in the same folder.

I’ve tried renaming it to .skp, but the saved changes is way behind and all the important work that I’ve done or needed is missing in there or not there.

Unique Download Link | WeTransfer

That’s the link

The file you shared via WeTransfer gives the same message to me when opening in SketchUp 2024. The file seems to be full of data. Perhaps @colin could help, he has some superpowers.

Thanks for checking, so that means I’ll start working on it again? But with the backup file?

Hoping @colin could really help me, I mean I just can’t fix or do it myself.

Hoping that @colin will somehow check my file before deadline :frowning:

You’re welcome. Sorry it’s not better news.

Yes. And also save backups to your Trimble Connect storage.

Thanks again @DaveR I’ll be backing my file next time at Trimble, to make things sure

We’re still not sure what causes that error to begin to happen. In the next update to SketchUp we’ve put in something to cope better if that error happens. I can’t tell you when the next update will be.

Meanwhile, I saved a version of your file that should work for you:

How did you check? Opening with Notepad++ shows that the header looks OK, and zipping it only compressed the file by some 2%(zeros would compress to some kb).
Your screenshot is from a different file than what Justin posted unless you renamed it.
I’ll have to get a hex editor too.

I had the wrong file by mistake. Too many garbage files from others.
