Lost my license for SketchUp 2015, what can I do?

Much like this user (License Activation for SketchUp Pro 2015) I also am using the ancient SketchUp 2015 Pro for my own personal use. I bought a license many years ago and recently got a new laptop and when I went to install SU2015, it is asking me for my license info. Unfortunately, it appears I have lost my license key. I had it saved in my email account, but someone got access to my email account about a year ago and deleted ALL my saved emails, including the one from SketchUp with my license info. I wasn’t smart and did not think of backing it up to multiple locations, so for all intent and purposes, it is “gone”.

I am wondering if there is anything I can do to either A) recover my license info or B) somehow get SketchUp2015 to work for me by some other method? I know this is an ancient version of SU, but it’s what I have (had) a paid license for and it suited my needs fine. I only use it for designing objects for my 3D printing hobby and cannot afford (nor do I want) the subscription model.

Like the user in the link I provided, I am hoping @colin may be able to assist me in some way. Or, if anyone else has information or help they can provide, it would be really appreciated.

I expect he’ll be able to help you but in the meantime, please correct your forum profile since that information helps if it’s right. SketchUp for Schools is a web based version for young school children and there has never been a SketchUp for Schools 2015. It should be SketchUp Pro 2015. The operating system should be some version of Windows or Mac OS, not 2015.

Ok, I updated the info. Hopefully it is more accurate now.

I never did get help on this topic. Fortunately I was able to find the license file I had for the install on an old Desktop PC and was able to use that. I’ll be saving that in multiple places in case I need to reinstall the product again on a new machine.
