Layout Text box line spacing tips/tricks?

Hi folks
I’m updating my LayOut templates for 2024 and I’d like to know if there’s a way that text will
I seem to have a lot of trouble with text boxes - when they are being edited, the line spacing changes significantly. maintain a consistent line spacing.
What am I doing wrong?

This image is the text box when it is not being edited. All fonts are the same, spacing is set to 1.5x. Not sure why there is a different amount of space between two of the lines…

This is the text box when it is being edited. The line spacing changes and the items run a long way down and off the page. This makes lining things up and making visual text adjustments very tricky.

I’ve experienced the same things you’re describing for long notes or lists. Not sure if turning on/off the experimental graphics engine would help at all. Sometimes I use a single or double-column table and turn off the stroke.

Probably not what you want to hear but in this scenario I have individual descriptors each as a separate text box.

Im guessing by the responses that this is an issue baked into the code?

Doesn’t seem that there has been a legitimate answer given to this problem. Im struggling with it pretty heavily. When I click into a text box all the text expands and the font changes.

I can’t tell if the presentation is correct when Im in the box or out.

Turn off the Experimental Graphics Engine.

It’s nothing to do with the experimental graphics engine Mike – although enabling the engine does mess with font layout.

This has always been the case for as long as I can remember.

Ok then. I haven’t seen it on my data sheets. I’ll have to keep an eye out. I’m on macOS if that makes a difference.

I have seen glitches with leader and note text brought in through earlier versions, but I just delete and redo.
