Students can’t login to sketchup via our gsuite app launcher. The shortcut disapeared and and now we are all getting this error, “Are you in the right place?”. Keeps showing a button, Sign in as then my email address. When clicked, the google sketchup logo loads but then after 15-20 seconds it goes back to the same screen.
Our domain is: arden.solihull.sch.uk. Does it need whitelisting on your side or something?
Hi everyone, if you are getting the “are you in the right place?” message, you are in the right place to get that resolved! I am happy to work with you to get you added to our database of approved domains. I just need to know a few things.
Specifically, I need to know if you are a k-12 school or if you are a higher education school. I also need to know the domain you want me to add. Finally, if you have a school or district website I would love to know that too although this one is optional.
Anyway, I’ll start the process with the domains all of you already listed and await a reply with what I need from you.
Hi CaseyG, we are a secondary school in the UK, covering students from year 7 to year 13.
I have already posted our domain details and you can access our website via the same address on a browser.
Thanks
Help! All of my students are getting this error as well. We are a 7-12 independent school in Los Angeles. Here is our school’s web address: https://www.windwardschool.org/
Hi everyone. Just wanted to circle back aroundon this thread and see if anyone is still seeing the issue. Please use the @ command to make sure I see the post as soon as possible if you arestill seeing the error.
Thanks for the info @Matthew.mulot. As you included your domains and verification that you are a k-12 school or equivalent, I was able to get you added right away. It makes my job a lot faster when everything is included in a single post, so thanks for that.
I just finished getting you added to our database so you are all set to go! Just deploy the app if you have not already done so and you will be up and running! Don’t skip any steps in the deployment proces though as that can cause issues later on.
If you are still seeing issues, let me know what you are seeing and we can work to find a solution right away.
Hi CaseyG, Thank you for your help but we are still having the issue.
We use the web version as we are a chrome school and it does work for most students and staff but there are still at least a handfull who still get the same error message. Just a little confused on why it maybe affecting a select few.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Matt
Ah, thanks for etting me know @Matthew.mulot. If it is not affecting everyone I am guessing that it is a student account level setting rather than a domain issue. My first guess is that students may have inadvertently changed some settings on their account. Maybe they blocked popups from the site or cookies. It is worth checking those settings to make sure that they are allowed for our site.
If you want to confirm what the issue is, you can access developer mode in the browser when you load the app. It should give you an error message that will point me in the right direction if you can share it with me.
Hi @Matthew.mulot and @mus.si, thanks for the posts and sorry to hear that you are both still having issues with SketchUp for Schools. I’ll address both of you in a single post so just look for your username for the part that matters to your situation.
First up, I’ll address you Matthew.mulot. I reached out to our experts and am trying to find an answer for you. Stay tuned for an update as soon as I hear anything. I am hope to hear from them this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
As for you mus.si, I was able to get you added to our database a few minutes ago. You are all set to deploy the app now if you have not already done so. Just make sure you do not miss any steps as you deploy the app. Missed steps can cause issues later on. If you are still seeing an error message please let me knowwhat it says.
Hi @Matthew.mulot I am in a meeting with our expert right now and it seems like the error is showing me that the app has not been deployed. If you have a moment, please run through the deployment steps outlined in the video for your environment (Microsoft or Google) and let me know if that fixes it.
As for you @clayton.winn, can you confirm if you are a google user or a microsoft user? Can you also confirm that you deployed the app?
Je n’arrive plus à me connecter à “SketchUp for Schools”. J’obtiens la même fenêtre "Êtes-vous sûr d’être au bon endroit ? ", alors que cela fonctionnait très bien tout au long de l’année. @CaseyG, pouvez-vous résoudre mon problème de connexion ?
