Steps below:

  1. Uninstall SketchUp Pro (only if you are not planning to use SketchUp commercially)
  2. Install SketchUp Make

So it seems people are explaining to you the Sketchup team that they HAVE uninstalled Pro and have then installed Make and are still being prompted to buy Pro and are NOT able to use Make. That is what is happening to me right now. I have uninstalled Pro, installed Make, uninstalled Make and reinstalled Make and it still asks me for a Pro license.

So? Whatā€™s the solution?

@stenior99 I sent you a private message asking for some diagnostic information. Weā€™ve been trying to understand the issue here, but users experiencing this issue usually do not respond to my requests for more information. Those that do respond usually turn out to have installed Pro instead of Make. This has been our mistake on a few occasions when our website was serving the wrong installer. We believe these issues have been sorted out. So I am still trying to understand if there is a bug in the software causing this.

Good after noon all. I guess this is more a question for a sketchup Team member - if youā€™d be so kind
Having had SU 8 annd many other of the earlier version - As running OS x 10.7.5 on older Macbook pro - the latest SU can use now it seams is the 1014 version I discoverd after trying to download and use the 2105 version

  • simalr to may of these posts - I get to the end of the trail and expect to roll onto ā€˜Makeā€™ but it just asks for licence and will not allow the basic funcytion instead .

Please for MAKE is there a direct download 2014 - or any other solution to this - now I files I canā€™t access

Currently we only offer a SketchUp Make 2015 download, although, I can give you a 2014 link but would like to ask why you do not want to use 2015? The SketchUp Pro trial does not ā€œroll ontoā€ Make since you downloaded SketchUp Pro first and used the trial and then decided not to purchase a license. So what you need to do is first Uninstall SketchUp Pro (only if you are not planning to use SketchUp commercially), and then install the latest version of Make.

I would like to point out and encourage you to upgrade your SketchUp License - What was the last version you upgraded to? Since you have had SketchUp 8 I would suggest upgrading to SketchUp Pro - it is MUCH cheaper because you had SketchUp 8: $95 for upgrade and $50 reinstatement fee because it lapsed more than 30 days, so you can get SketchUp Pro 2015 for: $145. This is a much more affordable option than just purchasing SketchUp Pro for $590.

I too am having this problem. I attempt to download SU Make and keep getting Pro then Pro wants a license

I tried to download Sketchup Make 32 bit and I keep getting the Sketchup Pro download. Is this correct?
The page says its a 30 limited use license.

Are you having issues with it not converting when you click ā€œAgreeā€ at the bottom of the window? When my trial version of pro ran out, it prompted me to enter a license number if I wanted to continue with Pro. It asks something like ā€œDo you want to continue with Make instead?ā€, so what you want to so is click ā€œAgreeā€ in the lower right corner. If that isnā€™t working, an uninstall and re-install from a different link and download has worked for me in past versions.

To me, it sounds like you downloaded SketchUp Make, but are experiencing the 30 day SketchUp Pro free trial which comes with the Make Download. After the trial ends, it will automatically turn back into Make, the free version.

Hi Alex B, Iā€™m currently trailing SU 2014 pro on a PC running XP (As pro was only option available for download on web site). My 8hr trial is up and I have two questions which I hope you can answer.

  1. Is there a version of SU 2014 Make available to down load?
  2. Can a licence be purchased for 2014 pro version if I wish to use this?

I am not converting anything. I am just trying to download SketchupMake but
every time I select that, I get a webpage that says i am downloading
SketchupPro (30 limit).
This is a webpage problem. It has nothing to do with my equipment or my
Internet connection.
