How to take my work from Trimble connect to SketchUp Web?

Hi everyone! I was working on my floor plan on SketchUp for Web and suddenly when I was zooming in and out fast, my work disappeared . I went on Trimble Connect and I can see that it’s still there ( It’s not deleted) but for some reason I can’t see it on SketchUp site. I need to know how to revoke the last actions or to bring it back to SketchUp Web to continue working on it. Please see screenshot.

Continuing the discussion from How to import Trimble Connect models into my Sketchup work?: Trimble Connect is not the average cloud service. It is designed to manage your Projects. While mainly used for 3D models in an actual running project , you can also use it to sync all your libraries for yourself, or share them with others. Heres how to set this up You will need a Trimble ID, if you think you don’t have one already, just go to the 3dwarehouse.sketchup.com and look if you are signed in. …
Maybe this will help you.

In Trimble Connect, go back to the file explorer (folder icon right next to the name SketchUp or <-Back) and then select the model with the checkbox.
This will show a details panel on the right where you can choose to ‘Edit in SketchUp’
Bookmark the tab that is opening with that model….

Thank you, but even that didn’t work because my work looks empty/deleted in SketchUp for some reason. I only see it in Trimble connect.
Anyway, I did it this way:

  • Downloaded my work from Trimble connect to my laptop
  • Imported my work as a component to SketchUp and finally got it back
I’m glad I could recover it as it’s a hard work of weeks. Just as reference, please see the screenshot to see how my work looks different in Sketchup and Trimble, it’s confusing.

To me it looks like you are zoomed out somewhere in outer space in SketchUp. If the Zoom Extents command doesn’t help, post the model on the forum so others can try to help.
