Lost models in sketch up free - error message says may have been deleted from trimble connect

I created three models mid December and haven’t been in for a few weeks over xmas and i can see the icons for the files but when i open them it say there has been a problem downloading they may have been deleted from Trimble Connect. I had to resent my password before logging in and have tried logging in via various links eg google etc and no difference.

help

just worked out i can view them when i look on my phone but not my computer. hmmm

You most probably signed in to Sketchup with a different email address on your computer than on your phone.

I only have one email address so that’s not really possible.

In a browser, go to connect.trimble.com and sign in.
The model may be in a project called ‘SketchUp’

If you select it on the left, there is an option on the right (details) to ‘edit in SketchUp’

tried that yesterday. they are all in there but wont load. I’ve even retrieved some deleted files and they won’t load. also tried in google chrome as was using edge. I’m wondering if something is blocking them from uploading…

Maybe it is something in the model(s) can you post it here?

sorry i dont understand the question?

Try going to here in your web browser. Can you find your SketchUp models there?

yes but still wont load

Can you download the .skp file to your computer and share it here?

like i say it wont download.

FWIW: you said it won’t load. That’s different from downloading to your computer…

I’ve tried load and download. still no joy. I suspect it might be my computers security settings kicking in for some reason.

all sorted. they did download onto my computer somehow after trying various ways yesterday despite the error messages saying they wouldn’t. moral of the story - never believe when ‘computer says no’
