"Falha para abrir o documento" - Algúem consegue me ajudar com esse erro?

The file is missing important information. Do you have the SKB backup copy of the file?

Olá, infelizmente não, esse arquivo foi compartilhado, acredito que foi por isso essa falha, não tem solução mesmo?

Unfortunately the file you shared with us cannot be fixed. Can you contact the person who shared it with you and ask them to send it again? How did they share it with you?

Your profile says you are using SketchUp 2021. Is that a cracked version?

Acredito que meu perfil esteja desatualizado, eu uso a versão 2024 licenciada, obrigado pela ajuda, vou solicitar para quem me enviou a versão bak.

Please correct your forum profile.

There’s nothing to send back to you. You can download it from the link in your post if you need it.

[Hey Dave!

Same problem here

I was working on my model yesterday, saved normally, then today, when I returned to work
received the error window saying that my file failed at intregrity verification and could not be open.

It’s a very heavy file, loaded with textures and details

Worst part…
The meeting for aproval is tomorrow

Could You please help me?

I couldn’t do anything with your file. Maybe @colin can when he gets a minute. He has a bigger magic wand.

Where have you been saving the file while you were working on it?

on my desktop

OK. Well, hopefully Colin will be available to look at your file and try to open it.

Can you share the .skb file?

I tried to open it by changing the extention on the file by SKB to SKP
so I don’t have the original SKB file anymore

Well, share that one anyway. If Colin can’t do anything with the original .skp maybe he’ll have sucess with the other.

I don’t suppose you’ve been also saving the file to your Trimble Connect storage at all?

Ok!

Here’s the former SKB file: https://wetransfer.com/downloads/04e02f301a19e14be90be698170931cc20240614152424/be0cf84bea38f9f13d75b85e579a064920240614152425/0474e6

No, unfortunatelly I have not saved on Trimble Connect

Thank you in advance for your commitment and willingness to help

I have extra tools that are internal to SketchUp, and was able to open both files. Here is a recovered version of the SKP:

I have no words to describe the relief you guys gave me.

Thank you very much for your help in solving my problem, you saved me from redesigning this entire project.

Thank you so much!
you guys are amazing!

It’s certainly good that Colin recovered your file. Before you proceed to add more to it, I would urge you to clean up what you’ve got. I fixed the incorrect tag usage …

… and purged unused stuff. No point hoarding all those components and materials.

There are also a number of excessively large texture images that could stand to be reduced.

I would also suggest correcting face orientation on some of the objects. There should be no exposed back faces (in blue here).

Also consider whether you need things like that bed sitting outside the building.

Many of the entourage objects are overly detailed for what they add to the overall model. You could either simplify them or replace them with simpler ones. This cleanup will help to prevent the issues you had with your model.

BTW, the things I did to your model reduced the file size by 64%.

I will certainly apply your tips.

It was actually the first time this happened in one of my models, and I already started saving them in the cloud.

As I work for high-end clients, my models need to be as detailed as possible, as the furniture in the project will be used in the completed project, so they need to see exactly how the project will look, because it will have a very high cost.

So the textures are large, the models detailed to reach a level of detail very close to the final result.

Now, the bed outside the model, it’s a bed that folds against the wall, and I didn’t find a model that was similar, so I had to improvise, so I render an image with it open (which was outside the model) then invert it with what was inside the architecture and then render it again.

Thank you again for your help, it was very helpful!

An ideia of the final result.

Don’t work on files saved directly to the cloud. Save the file on the internal drive. Then also save the file to your Trimble Connect storage to create a backup.

A lot of the entourage components have details that will never been seen by the client. You aren’t modeling those objects for manufacturing drawings, they don’t need to have the same level of detail as if you were. Consider there’s a “budget” for your model. Part of that is based on what your computer will handle. If you exceed the “budget” your project will grind to a halt. Figure out what you have to invest in and what you don’t.

That’s what i’m doing, i’m saving on my computer then upload to the cloud, as a backup.

My computer handles the files quite well, without chashing, quite smoothly, as I said, it was the first time this happened, I’ve already worked on sketchup files with gigabytes, and it went well.

But I certainly don’t know how to use 100% of the potential of sketchup and its facilities for intelligent usage of files.

I will pay more attention and follow your tips so I don’t come back here to bother and take up your precious time lol

thank you again
