no, they’re here.

you posted them 2 min appart, then waited 20 min, and posted this one. but multiple posts won’t bring a quicker answer.

please understand this is a community forum, most of us are community, and we won’t jump on the forum to answer. And for a tech related issue like that, Colin is likely going to help, but he is in Colorado, right now it’s 16:50, he is at work, he’ll come by.

Meanwhile, to kill time, you could go there and introduce yourself

Again, sorry @ateliernab it was never my intention to disrespect any of you or the forum. I apologize!

While we try to help you fix your forum profile. Unless you are using the free web version you aren’t using SketchUp Free.

you didn’t, no need. relax

simply, multiposting actually lowers the chance of getting an answer. it’s the sort of things you’ll find out on forums and communities, like WRITING IN ALL CAPS, THAT WE ASSIMILATE TO YELLING. Or sending direct messages to people asking them to answer your issue. not helping

joining a forum is like joining any other group of people, introduce yourself, fill in your profile so people know who they are talking to, and it’ll be fine.

and with any chance, Colin will come by before leaving work

I understand. I’m new to Sketchup, I usually work with Revit but I’m thinking about changing my softwares. I downloaded the free trial version on monday and worked on this file all day and night since. I don’t know what I did wrong and got desperate to loose all the hours. I’m sorry again.

You know, losing the effect of a few hours of work can be frustrating, especially when deadlines are chasing … And when HelpDesk SU basically sends customers to this forum, where is a frustrated man to pour out his regrets?.

Installing the trial version does not entitle you to use it for commercial purposes, because it only somehow excuses your impatience. Besides, even if it were legal, I would never choose to use an unfamiliar application to do urgent work. For this reason, I never install new versions of programs as soon as they are released. Unfortunately, companies now treat customers as beta testers, they do not look at the fact that they are wasting time, money and sometimes their customers.

We’re you working from an external device like a flash memory or from the cloud?

I deleted the other two posts, to save any time people spend trying to solve the problem.

I did look at the file, it is missing large bits of important data. Do you have an SKB copy of the model, or any recent backups of it?

To help achieve your goals, some time spent at the SketchUp Campus and at the SketchUp - YouTube channel will be very worthwhile. Both sites are from the SketchUp team. On the YouTube channel, pay attention to the Square One Series and Level UP series. They cover the basics for each tool.
