As Colin suggested, removing them using the Extension Manager is the more desirable way because it should register that the extension is intentionally removed.
I think it would be very helpful if you were given the option when removing/releasing the SketchUp license to also release the extension licenses. I’m regularly contacted by users with similar problems, and as just an extension developer I can’t do anything about it.
And, in the meantime, I’m still unable to load, buy or use extensions I’ve already paid for that would greatly increase my productivity right now.
Not to get OT and on a rant, but Trimble wants us to pay annually for this sort of ineptitude? I couldn’t get away with sloppiness like this in my business.
Colin, I’m still unable to get use of these extensions. I’m also having a problem with Podium, but trying to work that out with Cadalog.
Why is this such a problem? This is not the first time I’ve encountered this issue; probably not even the 10th time. Does anyone there actually have to use SU for work, or is it all theoretical for the SU team? Because this is a pain.
I would like to know if you were able to solve this problem with paid extensions on the Warehouse, there’s no “solution” in this thread.
Last week I updated to 2021 classic from 2020 Pro. Since then I have experienced major problems with Extension Warehouse. My paid extensions from Eneroth, s4u & nz now show up in the Warehouse as “expired” or “expiring in one day”.
I’ve tried all the suggested workabouts but the only thing I could do was to re-purchase some s4u extensions, those from nz & Eneroth have resisted any such moves…at least the warehouse has !
Hoping to hear from Colin that the warehouse is back in working order. Until then I’ll be working away at SU without my most treasured extensions !
If I remember, Colin went in and manually reset my troublesome extension licenses. I am resisting, for now, upgrading to 2021 just to avoid this hassle.
I think Christina Eneroth posted earlier in this thread a description of the way I think extension licenses should work and that would be them to be tied to the Sketchup license such that any valid, licensed installation of Sketchup would also include the licensing for the paid for extensions that are associated with entity on the SU license. Like you, I’ve struggled with this on every upgrade. I would also gladly pay Eneroth or the others their license fee again, just to support them, but that’s not an option. This would be an improvement worthy of an update.
I do see a lot of trial extensions in your account, and those natural would expire at some point.
Do you have any paid extensions? I can look to see if they are in your list.

Thanks dezmo, I thought that Colin and I were communicating privately about my EW issues. Changed my password, again.
Sorry about that, what I replied to you was generic information that might help other people too. If I was replying with something personal I would have sent a direct message.
Hi everyone, I’m having a problem to install again the “Bezier Curve Manager” plugin that you can find in the Extension Warehouse (which I’ve purchased a long time ago and I’ve used in several Sketchup versions through the years).
I’ve written to the creator of the plugin and he said that he can’t do anything about the management of the licenses as the plugin is constantly conflicting with the license (file rbz can be installed without problems but the plug-in doesn’t show up and when I’m looking to the management setting it tells me that is failed to obtain an active license (license missing) when the plug in is signed and is not allowing me to update the license.
How can I fix this problem?
I fixed the problem that I saw in your account.
I’ve purchased the 2DXY_SiteSurvey extension and am unable to get it to load. Some of the time extension manager says it can’t locate a license, if I go play with the settings that will go away. However, I’ve never been able to get the extension to succesfully load.
I don’t see a problem with your account. The extension is tied to the same email address you use in the forum. If you’re signed in with a different email address the extension won’t find the license.
Make sure you are signed in with that email, then remove, and reinstall the extension. If it’s still not working there may be something Barry, the developer may know about, that could cause the extension not to work.
Hi Colin, I’m also having problems with my paid extensions again. Although I always neatly uninstall them from older SketchUp versions, the licenses are still not released for reinstallation. At the moment, the following of my paid extensions have reached the maximum number:
nz_Plane
Eneroth Relative Copy
Eneroth Component Replacer
Energy Layer Painter
2DXY Slick moves
Could you help me to get these licenses released again?
Thank you in advance!
I could see the ones that might have problems, and adjusted things. Try them now.
Hi Colin,
Thank you very much again!! And thank you to that you adjusted it so quickly!!
Kind regards,
Ronald
I’m having a similar problem with trying to purchase Enroth Reference Manager. I did a free trial and I am now trying to purchase a license, but the Extension Warehouse is preventing me from completing the purchase. Any help?
You already own Eneroth Reference Manager. As the purchase date is today, it may be that you solved the problem since your post.
If not, try uninstalling the extension with Extension Manager, then install again from Extension Warehouse. Make sure you are signed in with the email address you use in the forum.
