Eneroth Extensions FAQ

I seem to be having a conflict with the Console Opener extension, and having my Styles tray open. If I have the console opener toggled on, and the style tray open, SU immediately crashes after starting. I disabled all extensions and have only !ene_open_console.rb script loading, and confirm this is the trigger. Though my suspicion is this is a SU glitch, not a problem with the extension.

My workaround is to just not use the Console Opener extension , so this is just an FYI.

Running latest v2025.0.634 64bit on Windows 10. All trays are on 2nd monitor.

Thank you for all your contributions.

A few versions ago, (release 2021.1,) they made the Ruby Console remember if it was open last session (and if so) it will restore it’s state and position.

I believe Julia wrote that extension long before this when the Console did not restore it’s state upon startup.

I love using the Eneroth scale tool handle plugin!

I used to have shortcuts assigned for hiding grips other than red, green, blue directions.

Now, the SU 2024 shortcut manager does not list the plugin’s commands anymore…

How can i bring back the beloved keyboard control over this plugin?

It’s normal for the shortcuts to only show menu items that are available at the time you are editing shortcuts. Try selecting an object, and then see if the shortcuts show up.

… and, if these extension commands only appear on the context menu for a plugin tool, be sure to also have that plugin tool active, when assigning shortcuts.

That worked! Great info. I didn’t know that. Thanks

After 5 years of using SU… I have still much to learn.
Thanks Dan for sharing your knowledge.

Hi!

First of all: thanks for your help!

I bought “Eneroth Component Replacer”. The demo worked fine. Now I licensed via “Extension Warehouse. Sketchup 2025 didn’t work.
Message: “Eneroth Component Replacer isn’t licensed. Do you want to open the Extension Warehouse to get a license?”
So regarding the “newer version not compatible” argument in mind I startet SketchUp 2024 and installed the extension via “Extension Warehouse”. It is listed as “Perpetual Extensions” and “active”.

But still the same message: “Eneroth Component Replacer isn’t licensed. Do you want to open the Extension Warehouse to get a license?”

Any ideas?
Thanks, Dirk

I am able to look up what extensions you have downloaded from Extension Warehouse. I see seven Eneroth extensions, but none of those are the Component Replacer.

Did you get that from Sketchucation? Or, did you get it from Extension Warehouse using a different email address?

Hi Colin,

It’s a different email address from mine — the one I normally use in this forum.

The account belongs to my son. We used the Extension Warehouse, and it’s the only extension licensed with the email address of my son’s account.

I’ve also opened a support case with SketchUp Support in parallel to this forum post.

I will send a direct message to you.

@colin Hi Colin,

I have a similar licencing issue with Eneroth Relative Camera. I have not had cause to use it with the latest version and now that I try with with 25.0.660 I am finding that I have a licencing issue.

From Ext Warehouse clicking My Downloads shows that I have Eneroth Relative Camera as a Perpetual Extension marked as “Active”. However this licence does not seem to being applied to the installed application as when I go to use it I get a message saying that
Eneroth Rel Cam isn’t licenced. Do you want to open teh Ext Wh to aquire a licence?” Yes/No

Choosing Yes takes me to the correct app page in Ext WH but doesn’t give me any option but to install. So I installed, I have uninstalled and reinstalled from the Ext WH but I cannot get past the apparent lack of license when trying to use.

Can you assist?

Thanks and Regards.

Chris

Fortunately, your case was one I’ve seen enough times to know what to do. I adjusted something in your account, the extension should license ok now.

Hi Colin, Thanks for the quick response. Is there something that I need to do on my end (eg reinstall/update license etc etc) as when I checked this am still getting the same outcome when I try to use it.

But….

Also I don’t know where the other activations are as we only have a single seat….maybe still attached to previous SU versions??

You may need to uninstall the extension and reinstalling.

I am checking into another issue, that yours may end up being part of. Did you use Extension Migrator to bring over extensions from an older SketchUp?

Let me know if uninstalling and reinstalling gets the license to work.

Can you close and reopen SketchUp, and see if the extension is ok now? Something needed fixing on our server.

closed, started, new log in, provided credentials, bugsplat, started, login, started plugin,

Message “Eneroth Component Replacer isn’t licensed. Do you want to open the Extension Warehouse to get a license?” - yes - install - is installed - isn’t licensed …

sorry, it doesn’t work

The license is working on my two Macs. Can you try uninstalling the extension, and reinstall it again?

showed “missing license” | I deinstalled the extension | I closed SketchUp | I had to login again |

“not able to update license”

=> still not working

More fixes have happened. If the extension is not working now, try the update license button, if you see one (like shown for another example).
