Eneroth Extensions FAQ

Andy85, you might want to edit your post and remove your email addresses. This is a public forum and not so nice people are always on the lookout for people’s info.

SketchUp Campus

Thanks will do

Thanks for the explanation, just wondering how hard it would be to have a download option? I was thinking of trying to move or copy plugin from Desktop to Laptop but I am guessing I would have activation issues

I’m guessing the issue is not in the download but in the activation.
while you can download any free extension from your browser, the extension warehouse will prompt you to go back to sketchup and get the paid extensions from there. because of (I guess) the way the extension warehouse deals with licences.

as of copying from one to another… honnestly, try it. again, I don’t know how the licencing is managed in the EW. but it might just work if you simply copy the content of your extension folder. might.

I only see one paid extension under the email you use in the forum. You two previous Trimble IDs look like they have been deleted. You could message me to say what email addresses those used, in the hope I can find the extensions and transfer them to your current email.

There would still be the problem of how to get the extension into your SketchUp 2021 on a new machine. If you could copy the files from an old computer it ought to work, once those extensions are on your current email account.

Posted in another section about Eneroth greyed out since day 1 of trial installation. Event after paying the 5 dollars still not able to get the option in Extension or in the menu context. (Eneroth Slicer problems - #7 by ReemMK) I installed it like three times and nothing.

Not only have you double posted, which is against forum rules and just annoys the people that generally answer questions, you have also filled you profile with things that you think are funny. Knowing what you are working with effects the answers given. Good luck.

Ahahaha!

Apologies for being naive in my first posting and for double posting without been fully aware of all rules. My problem WAS real and not related on not selecting a valid object (eg a cube) first before applying the extension even after reinstalling or purchasing the extension. All of the sudden it works. Thanks for the welcoming

Maybe you forgot to close and restart SketchUp. A lot of extensions require this after installing…

You’d be surprised how often messages to women on the internet is about our apperance and not about the actual topic :smiling_face_with_tear:

For me to allow a direct download of paid extensions, I’d need to build a new extension warehouse, licensing system and e-commerce system. I just don’t have the capacity to do that.

For Trimble to allow installation and license activation in older SketchUp version, it’s not my decision and I’m not going to comment on it. Sorry.

Thats all good thanks for the reply. For the record Colin from Sketchup supplied me with the RBZ file for Auto Weld and I was able to just copy the files from my Desktop to Laptop which activated.

Hi Eneroth,
Thanks for all the plugins and years of maintenance. Some of the most original and useful plugins from my perspective.

For some time now I have not been able to get Shadow Memory to work. Transferring the same shadow information to multiple scenes/views is indispensable for me, but it hasn’t worked for perhaps the past year for me.

Has anything in the procedure changed? It seems a very simple plugin and in the past has been very easy to use. I save the model file with the shadow info saved to (for example) scene1 (with the Scene’s Shadow Setttings box ticked) and then save the shadow info using ‘Put Shadows to Memory’ option for your plugin. I then move to the next Scene and click use the ‘Retrieve Shadows From Memory’, and wait, but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Oh, I’ve forgot to update this extension for Ruby 3.0. An update will arrive at an unknown date.

The patch finally got reviewed and live in EW

Hi, I’ve been using the Eneroth Townhouse System on my office PC for a while without any issues. My office setup includes SketchUp Pro 2021, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU, and Windows 10, where everything runs perfectly.

However, when I tried using the extension on my home PC, which has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 and runs Windows 11, I encountered an error where the template fails to load, preventing me from using the extension. I searched extensively for a solution but couldn’t find one. Apologies if this has been addressed before—I’d appreciate any help!

Do you see anything in the Ruby Console (Extensions->Developer-Ruby Console)?

@imteaj1995

(a) What SketchUp version are you running at home?

(b) You screen snip shows that there are two buttons mostly hidden at the bottom of the dialog. Do you have display scaling or text scaling set very high ?

Settings > System > Display * > Scale & layout > Scale
* (choose a display if more than one)

… and …

Settings > Accessibility > Text size > Text Size
