Dynamic Components do NOT load on Sketchup 2024 Trial version?

The pro version seems to not have a monthly purchase option so I’m using the trial version. When I open up SketchUp it shows the error given below. Along with other extensions such as Sandbox, Sketchucation. Tried Running as Admin, Installing as Admin.

Extension Errors Report

every proffesional version of SketchUp nowadays is on a yearly subscription bases…

Please adjust your forum profile to SketchUp Pro…

As @tweenulzeven there is no monthly subscription for SketchUp Pro.

The error you show implies incorrect installation of SketchUp. Dynamic Components will work during the trial period.

BTW, the 7-day trial period is not a “Free Plan”. Please correct your forum profile.

Also note that the 7-day trial period is for evaluating SketchUp, it is not meant for work.

Thanks, I have updated my profile.

I don’t see how one can incorrectly install Sketchup. Download the file and install as admin.

I’ve gone through a couple of threads with regards to giving permissions and restarts etc., but no luck.

If there is a work around to this, kindly let me know.

Thanks!

Hi guys, this fixed it.

I had to create a different user and access sketchup through it

Thanks!

Are you logged on as user “Administrator”? You shouldn’t do that, even if you routinely do administrative tasks! Instead you should set administrator privileges on your regular user account! The correct way to install SketchUp is to right-click the installer exe and choose “Run as Administrator” from the menu. That will set permissions correctly to let SketchUp run for any user. It is not the same as running the installer exe while logged on as Administrator.
