I have a SketchUp studio 2024 and am working on dynamic component’s. I have been following along on the dynamic components skill builder series. It is mostly working but have been having some issues with things not working the way it says in the skill builder youtubes. It was mentioned in the videos that a pro version of SketchUp must be used. Is SketchUp studio running the pro version like it says in below in the screenshot of my license or is it slightly different then the stand alone Pro license?
My license is up for renewal soon and I would like to continue to learn dynamic components, if running studio is the issue I will change my prescription to the pro version when I renew. Any insights into this would be greatly appreciated!
Hello studio is a bundle that contains SketchUp pro, vray, the possibility to import Revit files and I might forget some.
If you don’t need anything else than SketchUp pro just go for pro

You perfectly can continue working on dynamic components without the studio plan, on another hand studio plan can’t be the one to blame if you encounter problems
I found building dynamic components in 2021 very trying. I was making window sets that scaled dynamically. From memory, when I started incorporating several transomes they became unreliable, the names of components would change of their own accord, and I would have to repeatedly correct them.
As with all thing sketchup, I think there is a limit to complexity. Things starting to behave erratically may be that you are pushing the envelope.
