When I open sketchup 2025 which I have used for a long time without any problem, now the program crashes without any warning or error message (bugsplat) just seconds after the program is opened. I have restarted and even reinstalled which solved the problem for a short while. But now the problem is back.
Here is my configuration: Asus NUC 14 PRO+ Ultra 9 - Win 11 Pro
Processor Intel(R) Core™ Ultra 9 185H (2.50 GHz)
RAM 64.0 GB
Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?
Typically crashes on startup are traced to the graphics card and/or its drivers. What is the graphics card. You didin’t indicate that in your forum profile.
There haven’t been any recent changes to SketchUp 2025 so what has changed on your computer. Likely the change is the graphics drivers which were probably updated in a recent Windows update. That’s not an uncommon issue. You could go to the site for the manufacturer of the graphics card to get and install their latest drivers. Then do a cold reboot of your computer and see if SketchUp plays nicely after that.
The Graphics card 128 MB - Intel(R) Arc™ Graphics. Strange that this suddenly make problems after 2 month use every day? I will do what you say and will come back to tell.
Like I said, SketchUp 2025 hasn’t changed in the last two months so you need to look at what has changed. This is basic troubleshooting technique for anything. If it worked before and now it doesn’t the first things you check are what has changed.
SketchUp also crashes at startup for some users (like myself) when the licensing system wants me to log in at intervals of some weeks. Starting it up again lets the login happen. I think this is known and a fix is coming.
I followed your advice and installed latest driver: Intel(R) Arc™ Graphics
Intel Corporation - Display - 32.0.101.6987. But still going down
Something else I should try?
Are you getting Bug Splats when it crashes? If so, are you sending them in with your email address and name attached?
Did you try what @Anssi suggested?
Have you installed any new extensions recently?
Does it crash with even a new blank file?
When you reinstalled SKetchUp did you right click on the downloaded installer and choose Run as administrator from the Context menu?
Sorrry for late answer. I have been away for a while.
When I said I reinstall, it was not 100% correct. What I did was running a repair,
Now I have deleted and reinstalled everything and Sketchup is working again.
But I have a suspicion as to what the error is and I am worried that it will occur again. Just before the program crashed I glimpsed a menu. I have attached a video clip of the incident.
I have also attached a screenshot of what this message is and I need help removing what is causing it, because it is reappearing after reinstallation. Can you or anyone else tell me what to do?

Try removing the offending extension, Sketch-Int, and see if the issue is resolved.
The notification in the bottom right corner indicates that you have Extension Loading Policy set to Restricted (Identified Extensions Only.) One of the extensions that attempts to load does not have a signature (i.e., the developer did not sign the extension.)
ping @mariocha
The developer has encripted his code with Ruby Encoder. It has the option to apply a expiration date for the encription so it today’s date is after that expiration date your code will not work. You have to contact with @mariocha as @DanRathbun says I think he will have a new version.
Thanks for the ping Dan.
Indeed the actual version is 25-09-01
So, according to the author, there’s a newer version of the extension than you are using.
Update the extension to the current version and then see what happens.
To be sure, one can uninstall the actual version via the extension manager, quit Sketchup, relaunch and install the new version afresh (via Sketchucation extension).
Nå har jeg avinstallert alt som ga feilmeldinger. Håper programmet er stabilt nå ![]()
