Hello! I really need help. I need help converting this file into dwg. My sketchup keeps getting bugsplat.
Replace (with low poly, or better 2D components) or remove all those high poly models, you have a file with 33 million edges.

Looks like you are using the free web version of SketchUp commercially. That’s a violation of the EULA.

Dear Dave,
My employer drafted the As-Built drawings of his own premises on SketchUp and asked me to assist in conversion to AutoCAD in order to transmit to his Architect who can only open dwg files. Personally, i have never used SketchUp until yesterday, that i have attempted to convert unsuccessfully to dwg using free web version.
If this constitute a violation then it is noted from my side and i will let them know so it will not happen again.

Is this a personal project? How are you using the .dxf file? Does it need to be 2D or 3D? If 2D, what view are you expecting.
BTW, you have a lot of incorrect tag usage. All edges and faces should be created and remain untagged.Only groups and components should be given tags.
Your profile says you are using the free web hobby version of SketchUp. Is that correct?
yes this is a personal project and I need it to be 3D. This is a project I downloaded from 3d warehouse so I didn’t create the tags. Actually I am using sketch up viewer and I only need the dwg file to cut a section in autocad. I would appreciate it if you could help me.

I am an AutoCAD 2022 user and have received an SKP file. I need this to be DWG (2D preferred) - is that something that one of you can assist me with?
I have already downloaded/install the SKP plugin for AutoCAD (by AutoDesk), but when I attempt to import the SKP file, nothing happens. I mean, it freezes my AutoCAD for some minutes but that’s it. nothing is imported.
This is for work and have been hung up on this all week.
I created this account on SU but I do not actually have SU.

@2DWarehouseRackingAutoCAD sketchup for web supports DXF and DWG export if you have a go subscription. You can get it just for a month for $17.99 and convert your file.
I don’t know if this is what you are looking for.
- I didn’t touch anything in the model, so some things might be missing as they are on tags that are turned off
- I selected the top (plan) view and switched the view to Parallel projection.
- Then I exported a “2D image” to DWG 2018.
The result is just lines.

Based on the versions of SketchUp you list in your forum profile you can do this for yourself.
i would leave the version empty if it would let me, I dont own sketchup, but the only format i could find online for the model i need is in SKP, so i would kindly ask if anyone can do me a favor and covert the SKP file to DWG.
