Whenever I open SU for the first time after having turned my computer off it uses a different template to the one I normally use (woodworking/millimetres)
Once I have changed it to what I want and re-opened SU it is fine, until I turn off/on my computer then it forgets again?!!
Is this ANOTHER mac sierra issue?
After you make the changes to the template, are you using File>Save as Template and making sure Use as default is ticked?

No… I had been going to sketchup>preferences>template and then choosing woodworking/millimetres, which used to make that the default from then on.
I’ve just ‘made’ a template and renamed it/saved as default and that seems to suffice.
