Why does it look like this after export to PDF?

Share the LayOut file so we can see exactly what you have set up.

The problem you show stems from having drawn 2D shapes on a large face. The shapes and the background face blend into each other. The fix would be to remove the “background” face in the SketchUp model. I did that and the PDF shows the model correctly.

There’s a lot of other issues with your setup. First, although you have scenes in the model to use for the viewports, you aren’t using them in LayOut. Instead you have used the same scene for all of the viewports in the LayOut file and just moved the camera. The Reset button and dark gray background in the Camera section of the SketchUp Model panel shows that.

On another page you’ve done the same thing.

Here’s the kind of mess you can create for yourself if the camera gets reset.

Really, your model is not ready to go to LayOut. You should correctly set up scenes in SketchUp. In this case the camera for all scenes should be set to Parallel Projection. You should also center the area of interest in the model window for each scene. Don’t use a large face as a background in SketchUp for the sort of thing you’ve got here. Edit the style to Hidden Line style with white background, no sky or ground.

As it is the stuff in your model is scattered over a huge are. Clearly an import from a CAD file. If you don’t need it all for the job at hand, delete what isn’t necessary and move the rest of it closer to the origin.

Once you have the scenes set up correctly use them in LayOut. After you’ve placed the first viewport, copy it to make others and select the desired scene for each one. Do not double click into the viewport and move the camera. If you’ve set up your scenes correctly in SketchUp there’ll be no need to modify the camera position in the viewports in LayOut. Go into LayOut’s Preferences>General and UNtick the box for Enable SketchUp model editing. Leave it unticked.

I’ve fixed the scenes for the viewports on the last page (the one you show in your screenshots. You’ll have to fix the rest of them in your document. Here’s the LO file. You can get to the SketchUp file by right clicking on a viewport and selecting Open with SketchUp.

I would suggest that you upgrade to SketchUp/LayOut 2024. Your Subscription license allows you to do that at no charge.
