The Mac version had the color picker as a tool on the toolbar. On Windows, the only way I can seem to access it, is through the materials tray. Is there another way to activate it?
The keyboard default is b to activate the paint Bucket tool, then alt will change to the eyedropper, if that’s what you mean.
Nice! I knew there would be a solution for this, that’s going to save me a lot of time.
If you observe the Status Bar at the bottom of the modelling window after selecting the Paint Bucket Tool you will see “Alt=Sample Material”.
This Status Bar always gives a lot of useful informations for each tool.
The Instructor Window is also a very useful ressource especially when you start using SketchUp. You can open it with Window Menu → Default Tray → Instructor. Use the scroll bar in this window to see all its content. This is for Windows. With Mac OS, use Window Menu → Instructor.
When you don’t need it anymore, close it by clicking the small x in the upper right corner of the window.
