When I unhide the components I hid, they won't show?

As I was working on my model, I hid the second story and roof of a house to see first story. When I press unhide they won’t show and when I redraw the roof and second story (assuming I accidentally deleted it) a notice pops out and says that I can draw over hidden geometry. How do I get my hidden geometry back?

If you hid an object and it is inside a visible group/component, you need to be inside the group/component visible to unhide it.

Menu View > Hidden Geometry show hidden objects with a grey area. After that unhide it.
