I created a component. Later, in an attempt to work with a different component, I hid it. Now I can’t UNhide it. I’ve ticked View/Hidden Geometry and it shows up there but I’m not able to unhide the component.
Now what?

Turn on Hidden Geometry. Can you see it as a mesh? Perhaps you hid the geometry in the component. Triple click on it to open it for editing and then unhide.
Oops. You added your screen shot while I was typing. Do as I suggested above.
Unhide only works on the context (i.e. group level) you are currently editing which can be frustrating. Sometimes the Outliner helps to understand where it is organizationally.
Thanks Dave and RTCool. I did as you suggested and opened the “hidden geometry” for editing and was then able to unhide it.
