Sometimes when I select a point to draw a line from or use any other tool, instead if showing a period for the starting point I get a small white filled square which actually hides the starting point . How do I get rid of this and go back to normal pointing. Would appreciate your help. Thanks.

Still SU2016, right? Typical of a GPU issue. Go to the SketchUp menu left of File. Click on Preferences>OpenGL. Disable Hardware acceleration and see if that improves it.

Hi Dave. Thanks for trying to help me. I tried what you suggested but I get a message saying “the change will take effect for new windows”. I don’t know what they mean by that but the problem persists. Thanks again.

That means that the change will take effect when you create a new Sketchup session or restart it. After doing what I suggested above, quit SketchUp and restart it.
