Hi, my name is Red Hedderman. I’m living in Idaho Falls, Idaho and I’m a retired Petroleum Engineer.
I use SketchUp at home mostly for woodworking projects but would like to expand my modeling skills into building design - both residential and commercial.
I’m a worm in proficiency…just a beginner but I love this application as it’s pretty easy to use! I currently have a Dell desktop running SU Pro 25. I have not been to a SU 3D basecamp or know much about it.
I spend a lot of time watching SU videos to further my skills.
I’m Mark, a designer based in Germany (at the moment). I’ve recently ended up in the museum sector, which has subsequently led me to an interest in architecture. Having spent a lot of time collaborating with architects, I’ve become familiar with SketchUp, still consider myself a beginner though. My daily driver is a MacBook Pro M1 Max with 64 GB RAM, 4 TB drive, and a Studio Display.
Hello every body,
I am the ceo of Ynspir, a brand new french design interior agency. We work all over the France, especially in Alsace, Paris and the French Riviera.
I’m here to fond new technical methods with IA, to go faster than now, beacause we have many new projetcs and 2026 is very exciting in term of new tools
Hi Everyone! I’m being prompted to introduce myself
I’m brand new to sketchup. I’m beginning my journey to become an Interior Designer so I’m hoping to get really good at this. I’ll need some help along the way and I’m eternally grateful for anyone willing to lend a hand!

Who are you?
Luke- based in Montana.
What is your industry and profession?
Project manager and general contractor at High Country Builders. We do large-scale custom estate work, timber frame, complex multi year project. On the side, I develop software. My main tool is Form and Field, a SketchUp extension I built for construction takeoff and BIM data translation.
Where do you use SketchUp?Personally/professionally?
Professionally, every day. It’s where our real project coordination happens takeoff, BIM data from architects’ Revit models, site terrain from drone photogrammetry, subcontractor coordination. I also use it as the modeling front end for UE5 archviz experiences we’re starting to deliver to clients.
Why do you use SketchUp and what is your favorite thing about it?
I started using Sketchup in high school during my advanced CAD class. I really enjoyed modeling in 3D using Auto desk inventor. I couldn’t afford a license at the time and found SketchUp and was able to use it at home. Now I use sketchUp for design, review, and coordination. It’s a great central tool for models and components from different consultants like structural, MEP, steel and timber shops.
How proficient are you in SketchUp? Beginner, intermediate, advanced?
Advanced, at this point I can create just about anything in SketchUp and create my own tools if necessary.
Have you gone to a SketchUp 3DBasecamp?
Not yet. Would like to.
What is your current setup?
Windows workstation, SketchUp Pro 2026. I’m currently using an Alienware M18 with a 4090.
Do you have a 3D Warehouse page, Extensions, or a website to share?
Form and Field: form-field.com — it’s an extension I’ve been working on for a few years now. It scans and classifies imported models IFCs and RVTs and classifies them based on templates. These categories allow for complete visual control such as isolate, hide and change color. It also allows for one click measurements and formulas. It also has a model comparison and the ability to combine models and discard redundant geometry. Currently in beta. Happy to talk shop with anyone working on IFC/BIM workflows in SketchUp, that’s very much where I live.
Anything else you would like to tell us?
I’ve been developing my own tools for SketchUp to solve my own problems. I deal with models from many different sources. My goal has been to create one location for architecture, structure and mechanical in an easy to navigate platform.

Hi Everyone
Who are you?
My name is Kenneth Jr Isaborson from Nigeria
What is your industry and profession?
I work in the interior design, space planning, realistic 3D visualization, and project supervision industry.
Where do you use SketchUp? Personally/professionally?
I use SketchUp professionally for interior design concepts, space planning, furniture layouts, renovation ideas, client presentations, and realistic 3D visualization projects.
Why do you use SketchUp and what is your favorite thing about it?
I use SketchUp because of the ease of use, and I like how the SketchUp application looks. My favorite thing about SketchUp is how quickly it helps me move from an idea to a visual design that clients can understand before execution begins.
How proficient are you in SketchUp? Beginner, intermediate, advanced?
I would describe myself as intermediate to advanced, especially in interior modeling, furniture layout, detailing, and preparing scenes for rendering.
Have you gone to a SketchUp 3D Basecamp?
No, I have not attended SketchUp 3D Basecamp yet, but I would love to attend someday to learn from other SketchUp users and connect with the global design community.
What is your current setup?
My current setup includes a Dell Precision 5820workstation, with a NVIDIA Quadro rtx 4000 for 3D visualization. I also own a 2014 MacBook Pro for travels
Do you have a 3D Warehouse page with your models, extensions, or a website you would like to link to or show off to us?
I do have some models on the 3d warehouse,At the moment, I mainly share my work through Fix Your Space 9ja, where I showcase interior design projects, 3D visualizations, design transformations, and training content.
Anything else you would like to tell us?
I am passionate about using design and visualization to help people understand spaces better before construction or renovation begins. I also train students in interior design and 3D visualization, and I am always excited to learn, improve, and contribute to this community. I am also open to collaborating, connecting, and working with new people on creative and professional design projects.

I’m nicle Chris. I agree to your topic. thanks for sharing.
Well I’m relatively new to Sketchup, although I’ve played with it since 2017. Woodworking became a hobby when I retired, building smaller pieces and some larger furniture. My first woodworking shop was at my cabin (about 1 hour/ from home). But, we’re selling that now and am building a new shop, hence my renewed interest in Sketchup. I’m almost finished modeling the shopm and there’s the rub. The model is now 95Mb in size and over 7 million edges and faces. So, it’s taxing the capabilities of my desktop computer.
What I love about using Sketchup for this is that at one point I looked at the new layout and realized that I wouldn’t be able to feed an 8’ sheet through my table saw, as it was too close to an interior dividing wall. SketchUp to the rescue. Highlight all the equipment in the central pod (Table saw, outfeed table, Jointer and dust collection) and rotate 180°. Problem solved. I’m planning on automating the dust collection blast gates and dust collector using low voltage solenoids and compressed air rams. Those objects that I’ve modelled from scratch, I have uploaded to 3D ?Warehouse and have downloaded models of equipment that I have. Thanks to the community! I want to build a library of wood species textures, so I’ve been reading as much on that topic here as I can. I will be asking lots of questions. Hope that’s OK.
Hey everyone! Filip here, from Maribor, Slovenia!![]()
I’m a software developer with a focus on 3D visualization and configuration — so SketchUp fits right into my world. I use it personally for projects, building 3D models and renders, mostly for games and apps rather than a 3D Warehouse page.
My setup is a Windows PC with an AMD RX 6800, running SketchUp Classic.
Right now I’m deep in the trenches working on a 3D configurator and visualization projects, and also developing a mobile game called Cozee — aimed at interior designers and 3D modelers.
Looking forward to connecting and collaborating with the 3D community here. Always down to swap ideas, share work, or find people to build cool things with. Favorite emoji -![]()
Are you using SketchUp 2021 or any older version?
In my calculator version 2023+non-existent license type = cr acked version
Hi, yes 2021. To be honest, didn’t use it for long time, since I’m mostly working software development now, and for quick 3D work I’m using blender mostly so yea.. ![]()
So a cr acked license for SketchUp 2021?
hello im an architecture student from tunisia , i love sketchup because it’s easier thant anything
Hi can someone help. my file has an
A-2002 BASE 20260511.skb (4.0 MB)
A-2002 BASE 20260511.skp (4.0 MB)
error does not appear to be sketchup model
My name is Clark
I am retired from the woodworking industry
I am new to sketchup but have many years of CAD and programing
Working with dynamic components
Who are you? I’m a '95-born ex-architect who survived 7 years in the design trenches. Now, I’m an AIGC product wizard. Basically a “Space Hacker” bridging the gap between traditional 3D and AI.
How proficient are you in SketchUp? Advanced, no question. I’ve always been obsessed with geeking out on advanced SU tips and squeezing hidden hacks out of the software. After 7 years of pushing SU to its limits for heavy commercial projects, it’s basically an extension of my nervous system.
Have you gone to a SketchUp 3DBasecamp? Haven’t made it yet, but I’d love to go. Honestly, I’m super curious to see how the whole Basecamp community is vibing with AI and how it’s shaping the future of SketchUp.
Do you have a 3D Warehouse page with your models, Extensions, or a website you would like to link to or show off to us? Working on a workflow page right now. It shows how to turn a rough SU massing into a non-standard design masterpiece in seconds using AI.
Anything else you would like to tell us? Look, AI isn’t replacing architects. Architects who use AI are just going to replace those who don’t. Let’s make modeling fast, fun, and chaotic again.
No need to go to basecamp to see that, there are a lot of threads on the forum about AI. The vibe is ambiguous.
