Way cool! I saw a demo of Holygon’s tools at 3D Basecamp last November - It drew audible gasps from the audience.

Learned a few cool tricks with the recently released Landshape extension. Looking forward to showing them off. Thanks in advance for having me back SU Team! See you all soon.

so @eric-s , if you need centerlines for the roads, you can grab them on cadmapper (free below 1sq km), it gets its data from openstreetmap and it’s all tagged properly, easy to grab the roads.

edit : it also differentiates several types of roads, from pedestrian paths to bigger roads, all on separate tags

An amazing live stream @eric-s Aaron is going to have a hard time following that when he’s back. Great to see you on a live stream again, we’ve missed your enthusiasm and skills.

Thanks for a great friday evening veiwing.

Yes of course! Cadmapper is great. I forgot about centerlines on it since I usually generate roads as meshes! We need to chat pre-stream next time

Hmm. That easy huh. Sometimes I skip the obvious solution as it feels too simple to work. But alas!

Great to see you again Eric! Many thanks for the live stream! Thanks for the great commentary Justin! Another great live one! I am about to try modeling the terrain around a church and this will help a lot. Have a good weekend!

I’ll say, especially in this type of situation, it’s hard to switch to another method once your brain is set on something.

sometimes I go back to old projects and remember how I fought against curviloft or some plugin and I realise 2 min stitching and a hint of solid tools would have been equally good

What a comeback!

A pleasure to watch a new tutorial about landscape and architecture created by Eric. And this time using a combination of top notch extensions and even with real-time advice from the creators, Anders & Felix from Holygon.

I hope there will be many more Friday’s Live like this in time.

Thank you SketchUp, @eric-s, @CAUL & @Matheron (Holygon)! Thanks also to the others who contributed with useful advice!

@eric-s - a great session Eric - just watched the playback and that was awesome and full of useful tips as usual.
I took a look at Vista House on Goole Earth; it seems your model has knocked the real thing of it’s spot …
