Hi there, Iv had the VBO plugin for a few years now. Once I updated SU to the latest I transferred my plugins following the guidance on here. Now this plugin doesn’t work and I get this attached pop up. Does anyone have any ideas?
thanks

The general advice is to install extensions fresh from their sources so you get the most recent version and they get installed correctly. Did you copy the extension from the previous SketchUp version? It looks like you didn’t copy all of the files required by the extension. Go back and look for the rest of the files, put them in the correct location and restart SketchUp or just install it properly from the source.
I’m afraid that there is a new version as you can see here:
Try to download it again. I imagine it’s still working in your previous SketchUp version
I wish there was some better instructions for this plugin. I started making a full USA shed 40 library, and then i couldn’t get it to work, and then I lost the model that has all the pieces. Im a sad monkey.
Have you tried to use 3Skeng?
But you should be a bit wiser. Ie, “don’t keep all your bananas in one bunch.”
Too expensive.
Hi i would like to buy the VBO piping pro, but it’s indicated that the version for sketchup 2024 will not work optimally? Is there sombody who tries it? Also try to contact the developper but no answer? is the apps continues to be develop or supported? thank you
Vbo Piping Pro ver. 3.1.4
I used it about a month ago. I had no problems.
I tried to open it now, but the Toggle Dialog doesn’t even appear.
Contact the developer, but keep in mind that on the official page, it’s warned on SU24 it doesn’t function properly
I had some problems with it too. I started to use @3skeng , it’s a real piping plugin with plenty of options.
You can find more information here… 3skeng - software de ingeniería en 3D para Trimble SketchUp
I have been using the free version for several years. I can report it still works in current version of SketchUp Pro. I will say it can be buggy.
Sometimes the drawn pipes will not allow the edit tool to see it as a drawn pipe. When this happens I save my changes, close and re-open SketchUp then go right to that pipe to edit. Usually that helps.
Also, after editing a pipe, they show only the inside line (not the 3d pipe). I will start the VBO pipe edit tool, right click and choose redraw. This usually fixes it. If not: I save, close and restart SketchUp.
I notice the longer I work in a file the more likely it is to glitch on pipe editing. So I get in the habit of saving often and restart if it glitches. Not ideal, but it has worked for several version updates. Hope this helps.
