Unexplained masking happening in Layout

I created a plot plan by inserting a site plan, setting the style to hidden line, and adding notes, dims, etc. If I change the style to a rendered face style, then everything shows up. But in hidden line, there are strange areas missing on the right side of the page. I cannot figure out what is masking the drawing.

BTW, the file (89MB) is painfully slow to work on due to the size of the site plan which includes a huge detailed model of the residence.

Can’t speak to the LayOut issue without seeing the file…

Is the plan a PDF or DWG?

I never drop the full architectural model onto a site plan - all you need in most cases is the roof / drive / patios / etc. Copy or quickly redraw these and you will speed up your LayOut time.

Have you considered it might be a floating mask in layout e.g. white fill without edges, possibly from a previous project if you are up cycling your Layout file?

If it is coming from SU then the problem area has a face material with transparency, that’s why it is disappearing in rendered mode.

I use the site plan for 3D rendered views, so just having the roof would not be useful. But you do make a good point and I could easily create a separate file that eliminates a lot of extra data so i can create the 2D plans I need in Layout. To be honest, this is an old set of SketchUp drawings that have all sorts of problems that make them unwieldy but since I only needed to create a plot plan for the garage addition, I thought it would be quick. Not.

YES! Your question made me think that perhaps the 3D layer of the geolocation was hiding parts of the drawing. And it was. So turning off the geolocation layers solved my problem. Thank you.

For sure… I always have serparate site and rendering models. And my construction models are different from my rendering models. Different needs require different levels of detail.
