Oddly its happening on the renamed backup file RJ Site(2).skp as well. Both are in the folder.

I was able to recover the file:

Wouldn’t hurt to clean up the model before you go anyfurther with it.
Fix incorrect tag usage.
Purge unused stuff.
File size reduced by about 82%.

Hey Colin, please, help me too. My file don’t open after I saved it and closed it. I tried to open it and the message “Unexpected file format”. I tried to recover through Dropbox, but I couldn’t in any version. My client is waiting for this file and I’m desperate! Please help me! I could only recover materials and components. Look in the Components tray to see if there are any components that include a lot of the scene.

@colin might be able to look, but only if you share the file to allow him to do so. Drag the SKP file into a new reply here (if the file is less than about 16MB in size), or publish the file on a file-sharing website such as DropBox or WeTransfer, make the file public, and post a link to the file here.
As TDahl said, if you can put the file online somewhere, or attach it to a reply, I can look at the file.
