I am unable to use the push pull feature to turn this shape into 3D. I cannot select the face. Any ideas?

Firstly it is a group, which is clear from the blue bounding box. This group needs to be open for editing, double click or right click and select Edit Group.
Secondly it has no face to select, so once open for editing trace an edge to form a face then pushpull.
