SU 2026, freshly download. I need to rescale a floorplan. I imported it as a jpeg (image) clicked on the measure tape > clicked ctrl so that can measure. Typed in the new measure > after hitting enter, nothing changes.
I drew a line measured it. Same result. I grouped the line with the floorplan. Same result.
Is this a 2026 bug? I hope not its vital for my work.
Any help is appreciated.
I’ve had no problem scaling imported images in SketchUp 2026. It works like it has for more than 20 years. Probably something on your end. How many times are you tapping Ctrl after getting the Tape Measure tool? Share the .skp file with the imported image.
Also please correct your forum profile. It says you’re still using SketchUp 2022.
Thank you! I updated my SU to 2026. I am tapping the Ctrl once and turns of the + sign, then I measure the distance, yet I do not get the prompt “Do you want to rescale your drawing” and your question made me realize that I need to click twice. Which I don’t recall being like that before. Anyway, prompt appeared. Problem solved.

There was a change to the tool since SketchUp 2022.
Good to know, although I used this function in 2024 as well. Getting old I guess.
