Just downloaded sketchup and it’s trying to make me sign in via browser, but its not opening the browser. any idea on how to log in?
I think you manually have to open the browser yourself, then go to the login page and log in with the email you used to create a Trimble ID.
The sign in page that SketchUp uses is run as a localhost server, and an ordinary log in is using the online server. SketchUp will not know that you have signed in.
We have had a few reports about the problem, so far it’s been when using Chrome, which is unfortunate as Chrome is often the better choice of browser. So, try setting your default browser to a different one, then try the sign in from SketchUp, and hopefully the browser will open up correctly.
I am still not able to get the login in browser to popup. I have signed off of all other computers, switched default browser to EDGE and deauthorized all sign in locations from my account. I really need to use the software to complete a project for a paying client. Please Help!
Recently we found another case where the browser would not open. Try going through the steps in this article:
Thanks Colin. I believe this will work; I will do that next time. I reinstalled Sketchup and that seemed to fix the problem. It probably deleted the log files as the link above indicates. Thanks for getting back to me quickly.
