Unable to create a Face from a drawn shape

I have drawn this shape and created a group of all the edges. I wish to make a face of this so I can use the push/pull tool to give it some depth. As far as I can visually see, all the edges are on the same plane, and all the line segments are connected, but for the life of me, I can’t figure out why I can’t create a face of it.

The edges of your shape need to be in the same context. Explode all of the groups and then trace and edge.

The curves are in one group. The three selected edges are outside of that group but nested with them, and the edge that is grayed out is outside of that. How did you do this?

ETA: After exploding the multiple group levels, tracing an edge with the Line tool creates the face.

BTW, please update your forum profile. It shows you are still using SketchUp 2018.

It seems you’ve got a group within a group.
