Title: Corrupted SketchUp file – cannot open after crash

Hi,

My laptop shut down due to low battery while I was working on my SketchUp model. Now when I try to open the file, I get the error:

“This does not appear to be a SketchUp model.”

  • The file size is ~47 MB, so I think the data is still there.

  • Both the .skp file and the .skb backup show the same error.

  • I already tried Zoom Extents, importing into a new file, and opening with different versions, but no luck.

Could someone please help me repair this file?

The file is completely filled with zeros. Do you have an skb file in the same folder? That would be the backup file, and hopefully doesn’t have the same problem.
