Known measurements are now showing less than half… a known .6 meters now measures .29 meters… wtf…
sounds like you scaled your whole model.
did you recently use the scale tool ?
did you recently measure something then immediately type in another value ?
I have never used the scale tool…
I was drawing window frames, using the tape measure, I added my number and the size was too big, thought maybe I typed the wrong number, re-did several times, with the same results, I then measured another distance, and it was incorrect… or showing a different number than it should be showing… I have closed the file and re-opened several times with the same issue, all other files are normal…
only happening on this file
yeah, so it’s solution 2.
if you take the tape tool, and you click on the start of a line, then on the end of the same line, THEN type a dimension, sketchup will prompt you to scale up or down the model.
here, I have a 1m cube, and various elements. I take the tape, measure the 1m side, and immediately type 2m. and BOOM sketchup asks me if I want to scale the model up.
only external components like the silhouette will retain their size.
So if you now measure the .29 meter dimension and type .6 meters you’ll be good to go
Thanks !!!
The problem has been solved… I do wish it was not so easy to ruin my evening by using this most powerful software, changing things globally show take a few more steps, to help protect us “old-folks”
Thanks again !!!
well there is a message on screen telling you you’re about to change the scale of your model and asking you if you’re sure…
