When I apply am image to a curved panel (Image 1) everything is OK, the moment I close the group, the texture tiles (Image 2)… What am I doing wrong?
Have you added the material to the faces or to the object?
Which version of SketchUp are you actually using? There is no free version of SketchUp 2018 as your profile says.
I’ve tried both ways…?

As you can see, I somehow got the first one to work, did the exact same thing with the 2nd one an a third and when I close the groups, the image tiles?
Thanks so much for your help~

At some point you managed to explode the arcs and reweld them as curves. I remade one of the banners making sure the curves are identified as arcs. I also adjusted the size of the texture to match the size of the banner. It was extremely large when I opened your file.
When I select the top or bottom line in “Entity Info” box it says “Curve”, not “Arc” as in your example… it also states that the length of the line is 7’ 4 3/4, which it should be and the size of the box horizontally shown in which I place and resize the graphic before selecting it as a texture to place in the vertical panel?
I’m on a MacOS… is that a difference?
If you noticed the horizontal box, the image imported as a texture fits that boundary and is not tiled? Might it have something to do with it being in a group?
If I double click on the images placed
That’s because you did something to the original arc to change it from an arc to a curve. Perhaps you exploded it and welded or you scaled it. As I wrote, I redrew to make the banner to make it an arc.
The length of the material needs to be at least as long as the arc. The bounding box will be shorter than the length of the arc. I just resized the material based on the height of your original banner.
The Colors panel looks different than on Windows but you can still size the material correctly. And of course you can remake the banners so their edges are arcs instead of curves.
I expect the main problem is the geometry. It doesn’t help that your group’s axes aren’t aligned with the axes of the parent group.
Can you post the file you edited?

Interesting catch… I did redraw the arcs, lined them together, extended them to the top and pasted the texture… voila, no problem.
Thanks a lot, DaveR… This was driving me bat ■■■■ crazy. Let me know if I can ever do something for you!
