Texture mapping with V-ray is wrong

To make it look pretty, I grouped all the horizontal bits of wood and all the vertical bits of wood in separate groups, then coloured these groups with different named fills (the same colour, just named differently). I also made the face of the door a component, then mirrored it to make the back of the door: any changes (or handles) put on the front, will now show on the back. If I was going to put numerals or a knocker on the door I would group both sides and the hardware into one.

(I also gave a bevel to the insets so that they catch the light better… personal preference.)

I am glad you have resolved the UV mapping.
Now, you need make the texture be seamless. For this job, use the Photoshop, Gimp or similar. There is on youtube several videos showing how to do this.

I had the same issue and what worked to me was to check the quantity of straight lines that conform the faces with the texture problem.
I mean: if you trace a rectangle, check if there are more than 4 lines forming that face.
