Text File with Serial number and Auth code isn't populating software

Two issues:

  1. When I manually place the license txt file in the proper folder: C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2018 it doesn’t populate the license and Auth section in the software, thus leaving it as a trial.

  2. Does anyone have the proper instructions for deploying this with SCCM 2016 with license?

Thanks,
Aaron

For the 2016 version, use the apropriate folder:
C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016

If you have version 2018 installed, you need a 2018 license:
The serial number starts with a ‘T’

Thanks for the reply. We are not using a network license. Just a local license for K12 to make it free:

I manually used it on a couple desktops and it worked fine. Was trying to use the process as stated in the link. Was also attempting to create a sccm app batch file to place that txt file in the appropriate folder, but no go.

The most commonly made ‘mistake’ is that the txt file gets another extension added by the editor software e.g.
activation_info.txt.txt
