Activation_info.txt not working

I received my license file for 2016 pro. Activated one computer by typing in the license. Followed the directions to create a activation_info.txt file. Placed it in C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016. But when i open sketchup pro the serial number and auth code are not showing. did i create the txt wrong?

the syntax is correct but needs to be a raw ASCII text format and nothing created with Word/Wordpad.

If only one (1) single workstation license and already activated you don’t need to use the “activation_info.txt”, mainly needed for distributing pre-populated license data of a SU network lincense to multiple workstations by e.g. admins.
