I used Notepad to create the activation_info.txt file for a Sketchup 2017 installation on Windows 7
The content of the file;
{“serial_number”:“SH-xxxxxxxx-ALR”, “auth_code”:“xxxxxxxxxxxxxx”}
I’m copying the .txt file to “C:\ProgramData\Sketchup\Sketchup 2017” on the computers and verified the file is actually there.
However, when I run Sketchup it doesn’t find any licenses even after clicking add license
The license will work if installed manually but I have many computers to push it to.
This same process worked great for our 2015 installations. Any ideas?
Dangdest thing… my first computer picked up the license finally. 2nd computer wouldnt (after trying multiple times for an hour) copied the file from the good computer to the 2nd and it worked immediately…files are identical…same location… now for 3rd test…
