2017 activation_info.txt not working

licensing

#1

I used Notepad to create the activation_info.txt file for a Sketchup 2017 installation on Windows 7
The content of the file;
{“serial_number”:“SH-xxxxxxxx-ALR”, “auth_code”:“xxxxxxxxxxxxxx”}

I’m copying the .txt file to “C:\ProgramData\Sketchup\Sketchup 2017” on the computers and verified the file is actually there.
However, when I run Sketchup it doesn’t find any licenses even after clicking add license
The license will work if installed manually but I have many computers to push it to.

This same process worked great for our 2015 installations. Any ideas?

formatting is correct.

ensure to copy to “%PROGRAMDATA%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017” not to the program directory at “%PROGRAMFILES%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017”.

#3

Yes, it’s in the “%PROGRAMDATA%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017”
