Template issues. I have issues with the pencil tool connecting to anaother line, it simply disconnects. Very odd. The only way that I can continue to work on models is by opening a much older drawing and saving as the new drawing. It’s as if the template is corrupt? help appreciated
It’s probably not the template but share it with us so we can see what you’ve got.
What Mac OS version are you using? “mac studio” doesn’t identify the operating system. Is the graphics card really by nVidia?
It’s not a template issue, but have you unchecked the “Continue line drawing” box in the Preferences>Drawing window?
Hi many thanks - I’ll check the operating system and graphics card…sorry I’m not computer tech savvy - I have IT help. But they don’t have an answer for this so assume it’s sketchup. I’m uploading the file. Please note it happens around 10-15 minutes into the drawing process…

Hi, no- the box is checked. as I responded above, it happens around 10-15 minutes into the drawing process…
Operating system macOS Sequoia and the graphics card - Apple silicon is CPU and GPU all in one, I believe.
Well, I’m not having any trouble drawing edges and having them connect. I edited the style to make the edges orange so they are more easily seen against the plan image.
I see you have Length Snapping enabled which could create issues where edges snap to a length interval isn’tead of to where you want.
You should turn off Length Snapping. That is recommended anyway and important if you need to model with accuracy and precision. I’d also set Display Precision higher while you are modeling.
Actually turning off Length Snapping, since it’s a Model Info setting, is a template thing. In addition to turning it off in this model you should turn if off in your template.
Please put all that information in your forum profile. It helps us help you when it’s right.
