Technical Problem Sketchup Display is all black on New computer

I bought a new HP Pavilion all in one. I upgraded to Sketchup Pro 2018 then installed. When I open a new or existing file I can see all the tool bars but the rest of the screen in black. Any suggestions?

Check to see if there’s an update for your graphics drivers and install it.

Dave,

Thank you for advice. I have ran all updates on my computer and I tried to download a driver update directly from Intel also. The update from intel was unsuccessful, it said it wasn’t the correct driver even though I’m positive it is. I have an Intel HD 630 graphics card on Windows 10- 64 bit.

Any others ideas?

Thanks Again

Did you install SketchUp correctly using Run as administrator in the context menu of the installer file?

Hmm… I would assume I installed it correctly, just as I have with other versions on other computers. I can’t remember it asking me to run as administrator though. I guess it’s possible, but I didn’t see any installation errors it seemed smooth on the install.

Is there any easy way to tell if its installed correctly?

Edit. I may have found a couple new updates I’m trying right now. I don’t know why they weren’t showing up before.

The only correct way to install SketchUp on Windows machines is to right click on the installer and choose Run as administrator. It won’t ask you to do that, however. To remove any question of whether or not you installed it correctly, do that now. Make sure SketchUp isn’t running.Find the installer file you downloaded and right click on it. Choose Run as administrator and then when presented with it, choose the Repair option.

This is disappointing still no resolve after the repair and update. I thought buying a brand new computer would eliminate any potential problems. I was wrong.
